Welcome to HS4CC Academy! 

Email Communication

All communication between you and HS4CC Academy is through email. We do not have a public phone number. See the bottom of this guide for all email addresses.

As the "shopper," you will automatically receive 3 types of emails. 

  • Type 1: Whenever you make a purchase. This is an automatic transaction notice.
  • Type 2: Order processed email from Jennifer.  This lets you know when your order has been sent to ASU, Peterson's, or Google.
  • Type 3:  Academy Newsletter. This is a 1/month email for all announcements, changes, updates, new courses, discontinued courses, and HS4CC Academy information.  IMPORTANT: The email will come through our email processing software and includes an unsubscribe button per federal law.  If you unsubscribe, you will not receive any future announcement emails.  I highly suggest you do not unsubscribe as this is the only way to receive the newsletter.

 

 

Arizona State University (Grades 9-12)

  1. Every student needs an ASURITE ID.  We will create the ASURITE ID for all new students.  If your student already has an ASURITE ID, you will be able to provide it to us during your annual enrollment. 

  2. New students: Watch your student's email account for an email from Arizona State University requesting identity verification. Your student must complete ID verification before they can take ASU courses. A homeschool ID will work if your student does not have a passport, ID, or other item.

  3. Purchase your student's ASU course(s) through the Academy.*

  4. Pro Tip: Write your student's name in the "notes" section of every order.

  5. HS4CC Academy will enroll your student in the course(s) you purchased.

  6. Your student’s course(s) will appear on their ASU dashboard in 1-7 business days.

  7. On-demand courses will open immediately, session based courses will open on the first day of class.
  8. ASU safety net: Only grades of C or better in completed courses are eligible to be added to the student's academic record. D and F grades, or a course withdrawal, are purged from ASU's system. Your student will not have an academic record in this case, and you will not report their course/grade to future colleges as ASU will not have a record of their course. 

  9. Upon completing an ASU course, your student must click the button to add their college credit (grade A, B, or C) to their ASU transcript. Your student does not get college credit without this final step!!

  10. There is NO COST to transcript (or not transcript) your student's course at the end. You will see their final grade before you have to decide, but if you choose not to transcript the course, they will not have earned college credit.

*HS4CC Academy students also retain the option to purchase courses directly from ASU Prep Global or ASU Universal Learner on the student's Learner Dashboard, but HS4CC-Academy can not provide support for those courses. 

Peterson’s Test Prep (Grades 9-12)

  1. Purchase a 6-month Peterson’s subscription at HS4CC-Academy.org

  2. Pro Tip: Write your student's name in the "notes" section of every order.

  3. After purchase, we will set up access and email your student with login details.

  4. You may renew your subscription at the discounted rate 1 additional time, for a total of 2 times at the HS4CC discounted rate. Enrollment beyond 2 times is processed directly with Peterson’s at the regular price.

  6. Tech support: Use the “Contact Us” button from your Peterson’s dashboard.

  7. Safety Net: Students who take CLEP or DSST exams will only receive college credit and an academic record if they pass their exam. Failed exams are not documented or recorded on the student's academic record with CLEP or DSST.  (AP Exception: College Board will retain a record of AP scores under 3, but the disclosure of the score lies with the student)

 

Google Certificates (Grades 9-12)

Google Family is included with all new orders through October 31, 2026, and is valid for up to 5 of the learner's family members.  

  1. Purchase a Google Certificate at HS4CC-Academy.org

  2. Our Google scholarship will pay 100% of your certificate from the day you enroll through the end of our funding on December 1, 2027.

  3. You will receive an email from HS4CC explaining how to use the program in your homeschool.
  4. Action Required: You will receive an email from Coursera with a login link.  You must log in through that link to be covered under the scholarship. 
  5. You may complete as many certificates as you like during our scholarship period. If you are in the middle of a certificate when our funding runs out, you have the option to convert your Coursera account to "self-pay" and pay Coursera directly. The current cost is $45 per month.
  6. Google Safety Net:  Google / Coursera will only provide documentation for students who finish and pass their course. D, F, or withdrawals are not documented on the student's academic record.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the HS4CC Academy Refund Policy?

  • HS4CC Academy Annual Enrollment Fee ($199) benefits begin immediately and last for 1 year. The annual enrollment fee is nonrefundable.
  • ASU Session-based courses: Cancel before the course begins for a full course refund. After the course starts, you have 14 days to swap into another eligible course.
  • ASU On-demand courses: These begin immediately and are not cash-refundable, but you still receive our 14-Day Course Swap Guarantee.
  • Google Certificates: Google Certificates are provided through a limited scholarship program and have no cash value.
  • Peterson's Test Prep subscription purchases are nonrefundable.
  • Your first 3 refunds or course swaps are complimentary. Additional refunds or swaps after 3 carry a 10% processing fee per course.
  • 2.5% payment-processing fee is nonrefundable.

2. What is the HS4CC Academy?

Homeschooling for College Credit is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that helps homeschooling families gain access to college courses, industry credentials, and expert guidance in a supportive community.  

By partnering with programs, we encourage companies and colleges to work with homeschool families, see the value of homeschooling students, and actively recruit homeschooled students.  For families, we use our leverage to ask for discounted tuition.

HS4CC Academy gives your homeschool teen access to real college credit with built-in safety nets, discounted courses, career certificates, test-prep resources,  course-swap protection, and expert guidance so you can start earning college credit without figuring everything out the hard way.

HS4CC Academy operates on an annual enrollment model and may limit enrollment.

3. How are courses delivered?

All courses in HS4CC Academy are asynchronous, which means students never need to be in class or log in at a specific time. 

4. Who can enroll?

HS4CC Academy serves students in grades 9-12 and who are between the ages of 13-20. 

5. How do we sign up for courses?

  1. Purchase an annual membership for your student.
  2. Shop for classes in the HS4CC Academy store.
  3. Your student will receive course enrollment and login information before classes begin.

PRO TIP: When you purchase a course or product, please include your student's name in the "notes" section at checkout. This will greatly speed up order processing.  

Orders may be placed by you 24/7/365 but are filled by the respective company during normal business days/hours. Orders are generally not processed over weekends or holidays.

Processing averages as follows:

  • HS4CC Academy Annual Enrollment: Allow 1 business day
  • Arizona State University: (New students)  Allow 10-14 business days. The actual time required depends on how long each party takes to complete their step(s). 
    • Step 1: HS4CC sends your student's information to ASU.  
    • Step 2: ASU sends your student an ASURITE verification email to the email you provided to us. (This is almost always where all delays happen, since these emails frequently end up in spam or the student doesn't check their email. We recommend checking every day.)
    • Step 3: Your student verifies their ASURITE number with ASU per the instructions in the email. 
    • Step 4: ASU adds your student to HS4CC Academy Partnership in their system. 
    • Step 5: HS4CC Academy can now enroll your student in any course they purchase.
  • Arizona State University: (Verified ASURITE) 3 business days
  • Google: 2 business days
  • Peterson's: 2 business days

6. When should I purchase courses?

Purchase on-demand courses when your student is ready to begin. 

Purchase session-based courses as early as possible.  We will enroll your student as soon as we have access (generally 60-90 days before the course session begins).  Your student won't have "access" to the session-based course until Day 1.
