Homeschooling for College Credit families can test out of college classes by using credit-by-exam tests offered by CLEP, DSST, and Advanced Placement exams.

Credit by exam is one of the most affordable ways to earn college credit before starting college.

Passing an exam results in potential college credit, which eliminates the need for your student to take (and pay for) the class at college. Your student can test out of classes like Introduction to Psychology, College Mathematics, United States History, and others - all by passing an exam.

Peterson's test prep courses and practice tests have been recommended by Homeschooling for College Credit for over a decade as the most accurate practice test packet on the market. Since 2012, Jennifer has written extensively about her experience using Peterson's to test out of over 20 college classes. If your students pass their Peterson's practice tests, they are well prepared for the real exam.

Your 6-month subscription includes every AP, CLEP, and DSST exam in their catalog (see images). You can study for one or all of the shown exams, each with unlimited retakes on the practice tests. You can also mix and match between brands. We have worked hard to negotiate the lowest possible price for access to all of their credit-by-exam products.

HS4CC Academy is a membership program created by Homeschooling for College Credit to help homeschool families save time, money, and stress on the path to college. Members gain access to discounted college courses, industry credentials, expert guidance, and a community dedicated to helping teens earn real college credit during high school.

Dual enrollment is a program that allows high school students to take college courses and earn college credit before graduating from high school. Depending on the college or state, dual enrollment may also be called concurrent enrollment, dual credit, early college, or college in the high school. While the names vary, the goal is the same: helping students get a head start on college while still in high school.

These courses are delivered online in an asynchronous format. Students never need to be in class at a specific time and can complete their coursework on a flexible schedule that fits their homeschool and family commitments.

HS4CC Academy serves students ages 13-20 who are enrolled in grades 9-12 (or the homeschool equivalent) and have not yet graduated from high school. Individual college partners may impose additional age, grade level, or admission requirements.

Enrolling More Than One Student?

HS4CC Academy accounts are student-specific. Any courses purchased through an account will be assigned to the student connected to that account.

Families with multiple students should create a separate account and membership for each student to ensure that enrollments and records are assigned correctly.

HS4CC Academy Enrollment Fee: Your membership provides a full year of access to Academy benefits and discounts. Because benefits begin immediately, membership fees are nonrefundable.
ASU Session-based courses: Receive a full refund until the first day of class. If the course is not a good fit, students may request to switch to a different ASU course during the first 14 days of the session.
ASU On-demand courses: On-demand courses begin immediately upon purchase and are nonrefundable. If the course is not a good fit, students may request to switch to a different ASU on-demand course within the first 14 days of enrollment.
Regent University Courses: Courses are refundable through Regent's published drop period. The drop period typically ends approximately seven days after classes begin.
Google Certificates: Google Certificates are provided through a limited scholarship program and have no cash value. Because scholarship opportunities are limited, HS4CC Academy reserves the right to deny future scholarship-funded certificates to students who do not complete their current certificate.
Peterson's Test Prep subscription is nonrefundable.

All colleges and universities in the HS4CC Academy are regionally accredited, the highest level of accreditation available, which offers the best chance of credit transfer.

Keep in mind that your receiving institution makes the final decision on which credits they accept for your degree/major.

The highest acceptance of dual enrollment courses will be when the student stays with the institution for their degree after high school.

ASU enrollment is very exact. Please read carefully and contact us with questions at Admissions@hs4cc.org

Current ASU students: you must finish your course and transcript it (if desired) prior to enrolling in HS4CC Academy. Courses that were completed but not transcribed may be deleted by ASU. Please make sure your dashboard is "clear" of pending courses.

Former & Current ASU students: We must locate your record using your ASURITE ID. If ASU locates a prior ASURITE ID, they will flag your account and do a manual audit that takes approximately 21 days. Please take a moment to obtain your ASURITE ID and include it on your enrollment form with us.

Regent University dual enrollment is open to students in grades 11-12.

The Regent University enrollment process has 3 tasks that must be completed before beginning classes with them. You only need to do this process once.

Regent policy requires that the enrollment process be completed at least 2 weeks before classes begin. We recommend starting this process as soon as possible.

1. University Early College Application (Link will be sent to you when you purchase your first RU course from us.)

2. A high school transcript is required. You may use your own template, the HS4CC template, or the free template provided on the Regent University website for homeschoolers.

3. Parent verification form is required. This form will be provided to you directly from Regent.
