Every day, computers and algorithms touch the lives of everyone around us in both mundane and profound ways. These algorithms are in the plants and distribution systems that bring you clean water and electricity, sensors that moderate the flow of traffic, in the tractors and combines that sow and harvest our food, and in the satellites that measure and predict the weather trends. If you are curious about what computers can do and how we instruct them to do those things, this course is for you. No prior programming experience is needed for this course. In addition to exposure to programming, you will gain a powerful set of thinking and problem-solving skills that you can use in your daily life. Start taking advantage of the power of computers around us to make our world a better place.

Prerequisites: College Algebra is strongly suggested.

Homeschooling for College Credit is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to affordable college education for homeschool students. Through our HS4CC Academy division, families can purchase courses with accredited colleges, universities, and educational providers at significantly reduced tuition rates.

Yes! You have both pricing options available to you. Courses purchased in this site will be at the new discounted rate. To buy courses for full price the old way, go through your student's ASU Learner Dashboard.

HS4CC Academy Annual Enrollment Fee ($199) benefits begin immediately and last for 1 year. Annual enrollment fee is nonrefundable.

ASU Session-based courses: Cancel before the course begins for a full course refund. After the course starts, you have 14 days to swap into another eligible course.
ASU On-demand courses: These begin immediately and are not cash-refundable, but you still receive our 14-Day Course Swap Guarantee.
Google Certificates: Google Certificates are provided through a limited scholarship program and have no cash value.
Peterson's Test Prep subscription purchases are nonrefundable.
Your first 3 refunds or course swaps are complimentary. Additional refunds or swaps after 3 carry a 10% processing fee per course.
2.5% payment-processing fee is nonrefundable.
