Survey of English (British) literature from the Middle Ages through 1798. British literature refers to written works, poetry, and plays produced in the United Kingdom, the Isle of Man, and the Channel Islands. While the vast majority is written in the English language, it also encompasses works in other regional tongues such as Welsh, Scottish Gaelic, Scots, and Irish.
Prerequisite: Grade of “C-” or better in English Composition 2
