Introduction to Military Studies focuses on the way interdisciplinary scholars in national security at the interface of history and political science ask questions and propose answers. Introduces the basics of research, writing and criticism with an eye toward how solutions are constructed from diverse sources. Evaluates primary and secondary sources including identifying purpose, intended audience and biases.

You'll identify the socio-political impact of the military by critically assessing its role in shaping domestic policies, civil-military relations, and global power dynamics. You'll also develop the ability to identify, navigate and critically assess military and veterans’ resources in the VA and DOD, demonstrating proficiency in accessing and utilizing these systems effectively to support service members and veterans.

HS4CC Academy Annual Enrollment Fee ($199) benefits begin immediately and last for 1 year. Annual enrollment fee is nonrefundable.
ASU Session-based courses: Cancel before the course begins for a full course refund. After the course starts, you have 14 days to swap into another eligible course.
ASU On-demand courses: These begin immediately and are not cash-refundable, but you still receive our 14-Day Course Swap Guarantee.
Google Certificates: Google Certificates are provided through a limited scholarship program and have no cash value.
Peterson's Test Prep subscription purchases are nonrefundable.
Your first 3 refunds or course swaps are complimentary. Additional refunds or swaps after 3 carry a 10% processing fee per course.
2.5% payment-processing fee is nonrefundable.
