The course objective is to prepare learners for a career in the high-growth field of UX design with professional training designed by Google. Learners will create a professional UX portfolio that includes 3 end-to-end projects: a mobile app, a responsive website, and a cross-platform experience.


To earn the certificate, students will complete and pass the following 8 mini courses.
  1. Foundations of User Experience (UX) Design
  2. Start the UX Design Process
  3. Build Wireframes and Low-Fidelity Prototypes
  4. Conduct UX Research and Test Early Concepts
  5. Create High-Fidelity Designs and Prototypes in Figma
  6. Build Dynamic User Interfaces (UI) for Websites
  7. Design a User Experience for Social Good
  8. Accelerate Your Job Search with AI

Tri-Credit generates valuable credit in three ways: high school credit, a recognized industry credential from Google, and college credit.

High School Credit: Awarded by the homeschool.   The course is self-paced, with an estimated 152 hours needed for completion. Students may complete the course in as little or as much time as needed. The grade is awarded by the homeschool.

HS4CC recommendations:

Honors User Experience Design, 1.0 credit

(2 semesters, 4 hours per week)

 

Recognized Industry Credential (IRC): Google is a third-party provider of this certification, which is generally accepted by employers for hiring, retention, and advancement.

College Credit: Each Google Career Certificate has been evaluated for college credit by the American Council on Education (ACE).  ACE recommendations are only recommendations. Your college or university will have the final authority over how much credit is awarded.
